Tommy Fisher M.Ed
Sr. E-Learning Designer/Developer
Tommy R. Fisher is originally from Montana but has lived in multiple states. Tommy served his country as a United States Navy Corpsman. Tommy was a combat field medic for most of his time in the Navy. He has an extensive background in designing and developing customized e-learning that promotes engagement, knowledge development, and retention. Tommy uses multimedia and other technologies in his e-learning to optimize the learning process. Tommy also captures and edits most of his videos.
Work/Education
Tommy has worked in the healthcare industry in one form or another for 26 years. When Tommy got out of the Navy in 2004 he worked for Kaiser Permanente for 4 years as the QUEST Coordinator in the Honolulu Clinic in Hawaii. From there Tommy moved to Texas and worked for Baylor Healthcare System in Clinical Transformation as an EHR Education and Training Trainer where he taught clinicians how to incorporate the electronic health record into their practice. He was part of a team that implemented the EHR in 16 regional hospitals around the Metroplex. Once all the Baylor Hospitals were live with the EHR, Tommy focused on Nursing education where Tommy focused on developing e-learning and video production. When Baylor and Scott and White Health merged Tommy found himself in the Corporate HR office as a Learning Technology Consultant where he utilized his skills with video production and e-learning design and development. In time Tommy found his way home to Baylor’s LHSON where he serves as the senior e-learning designer and multi-media specialist. Tommy’s education includes a Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration from Wayland Baptist University and a Masters in Education from Chaminade University.

Community & Family
Tommy is also revered for giving back to the local community along with having an immense dedication for his family. Tommy served as a softball coach to his daughter’s teams throughout the years. Tommy is a family man and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Tommy spends a lot of time at the softball fields coaching kids and working with the youth.
