Clinical Simulation Center
Infusing a strong collaboration between The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) and Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas (BUMC), the LHSON lab and simulation education moved to a new location in August 2026 at 1208 Hall in Dallas, just a few blocks from its former address. The building is over 56,000 square feet which is twice the size of the LHSON’s former simulation building at 3700 Worth Street which opened in 2008 and was renovated and expanded in 2018.
The vision of LHSON Simulation is to be the synergy point for creative teaching among our faculty and students; where learning is facilitated through collaborative and cooperative processes. LHSON Simulation supports the mission of the school by assisting in the preparation of safe and effective professional nurses possessing the necessary skills and clinical judgment to provide quality, patient-centered care, through participation and engagement in a variety of simulation-based learning activities.

Advantages of Simulation-Based Education
Learning in LHSON Simulation is opportunistic ~ what you need, is what you get! Simulation-based learning experiences can be scheduled at convenient times and locations; they can be repeated as often as necessary – any clinical situation can be created and adjusted at will. Working in a simulated environment allows students to make mistakes and learn from these mistakes; learners gain powerful insight into the consequences of their actions without jeopardizing patient safety.
