Work and Education
Dr. Tiffany Flood is a Clinical Assistant Professor and DNP-FNP Track Coordinator at Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON). With a specialization in Community Health, she teaches across lecture, lab, and clinical settings in the Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP-FNP) program. Before joining Baylor, she served as Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the FNP program at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Flood brings several years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a background spanning community health, primary care, addiction medicine, and, most recently, general surgery. She remains committed to low and no-resource communities through volunteer work at the free medical clinics, Kinwest Medical Clinic in partnership with Irving Bible Church, and TruCare Clinic in partnership with One Community Church.
Committees and Professional Involvement
Outside the classroom, Dr. Flood is actively involved in regional, state, and national professional nursing organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP). Within LHSON, she serves on several governance committees and co-led the LHSON Zambia mission from 2021 to 2023.

Dr. Flood has contributed to local, state, national, and international professional nursing organizations through various mediums via oral presentations, textbooks, and grants. Community Engagement
Dr. Flood is deeply rooted in her community. She is an active member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF), where she serves elementary, middle, and high school-aged youth with dedication and joy. Additionally, she supports community-based initiatives that nurture children through culturally responsive programming. In her personal life, she cherishes quality time with family and friends.
