As a family nurse practitioner with a pediatric focus, she brings nearly a decade of clinical experience from Carevide in Greenville, Texas—five of those years at Carevide Pediatrics. She also has experience in pediatric home health and was a nurse at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, for five years. Her doctoral project focuses on addressing pediatric obesity in rural communities through the implementation of a specialized pediatric weight management program tailored to rural settings.
Committees
She serves on the peer review committee and is a trauma-informed care Leader at Carevide.
Presentations
Outside the classroom, Professor Stough supports the continued education of fellow nurse practitioners at Carevide, where she has presented on topics such as Motivational Interviewing and Pediatric Obesity.
Community
Staci Stough remains actively engaged in her local community. In addition to spending time with her husband and three children, she has led the implementation of school-based vaccine clinics in Commerce and Greenville, Texas. She established a dedicated mental health and counseling room at the Carevide Commerce School-Based Health Center and, recognizing the lack of rural access to mammography, launched a monthly mobile mammography program at Carevide in Farmersville, Texas. For three years, she was a nurse at Camp John Marc in Meridian, Texas.
