Patti DeFrehn, DNP, MBA, MLS, RN, NEA-BC, serves as Chief Nursing Officer for the DFW – Central Region and Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC). Patti guides the nursing practice, champions quality and safety efforts, and ensures nursing teams are supported in delivering exceptional care every day.
Patti has been a valued member of BUMC for more than 13 years, leading with compassion, strength, and an unwavering commitment to our teams. She continues overseeing our perioperative services, orthopedic and neuroscience service lines, as well as women’s and children’s services. Patti has also played a vital role in bringing the Roberts Revitalization project to life and continues to carry this important work forward for our campus and community.
In addition, Patti teaches in the LHSON DNP Executive Nurse Leadership program as well as serving on the Board of Advocates.
