Pam Jones

Pam Jones was born in Waco and moved to Bryan and Amarillo as a child and has lived in Tyler since 1964. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Tyler Junior College as a music major and transferred to Baylor University for two years and then transferred to Texas Woman’s University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene and practiced for over two years. She later became Director of the Dental Hygiene Program at Tyler Junior College and taught Statistics and Epidemiology.

Pam married Michael E. Jones in 1978. Together their family includes: Camden and his wife, Linda Jones with children Nash and Lyle Jane; Megan and, husband, Michael Doss and their daughter Norah Doss.

Pam volunteers and been active in giving back to the community. She has been revered for her multiple roles at All Saints Episcopal School, including President of the Parent’s Association and Upper School Planning Committee. In addition, she has served in multiple roles with Green Acres Baptist Church, including leadership with young married couples’ Sunday School classes, committee assigned to remodel a multi-level children’s building, and participated in several church choirs, ensembles, and bands. Pam has also shared her time with First Baptist Church, including leadership with young married couples’ Micah Sunday School class, Tyler Family Assistance, Wednesday night dinners serving Summit (middle school and high school) students. She has co-chaired a Prayer Committee for a Louis Palau City-wide Evangelistic Crusade in Tyler. 

Serving the community through involvement in multiple organizations, Pam has made a positive impact on sharing her time, talent and treasure. Some of the organizations that have benefitted from her support include: Junior League (Chairman of the Health Services Committee, Parent Services, Tyler Drug and Alcohol Abuse Center Library, Co-Chaired East Texas Women’s Conference dealing with “Co-Dependent No More” author, Melody Beattie and actress, Mariette Hartley); East Texas Women’s Symphony League; KVNE Media Group (assisted with monthly mail-outs); Amigos International (Medical and Dental Teams, Belize) and East Texas Dental Hygiene Society (President and By-Laws Committee).
