Joey Peterman-Houdek

Joey Peterman-Houdek is a registered nurse with over 30 years of professional nursing experience and knowledge in healthcare. Her experience includes international nursing, nurse recruiter, educator, instructor, coordinator, manager, and is accomplished in helping set high performance standards in a variety of healthcare settings. 

Her professional background includes currently serving as Clinical Director for the Lewisville Surgery Center, and ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in Plastic surgery. Previously, she was the Charge RN-NICU/Nursery at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-Flower Mound; Agency Registered Nurse at Parallon Workforce Solutions “All About Staff”; School Nurse for Liberty Christian Schools; RN-Nursery/NICU Registered Nurse for Lewisville Medical Center; Flight Attendant for American Airlines; International Nurse Coordinator/Recruiter Specialist for Nursefinders, Registered staff RN for BUMC upon graduation, and worked as a nursing Sister for Morningside Medi Clinic while living in South Africa. 

Joey earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) in 1995. She also serves on the LHSON Dean’s Board of Advocates and is chair for the LHSON chapter of the Baylor Parent Engagement Network. She is married to Rick Houdek, a Senior Director at Fidelity Investments, has two grown children (one of which is a current L1), and lives in Coppell.
