Work and Education
Dr. Muncey has taught nursing part-time at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing since 2019 before joining full-time in Fall 2021. Specializing in critical care and medical-surgical nursing, she teaches students through lecture, lab, and clinical settings. Dr. Muncey currently teaches in the Human Needs and Pathophysiology/Pharmacology courses. Currently, Dr. Muncey works in the ICU at Parkland Health and Hospital System.
Committees
Dr. Muncey will serve on the Academic Policies Committee this year. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Community
Additionally, Dr. Muncey is active in her local community where she lives with her husband and three children. She serves as a volunteer for Reading Partners to help elementary school children increase reading skills and spends her free time outdoors, listening to podcasts, and chasing her three young children.
