Work and Education
Dr. Jones has taught nursing at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing since 2017. Dr. Jones currently teaches in the online DNP program. Her teaching platform is informed by many years of professional experience as a practicing critical care nursing and Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Committees
Dr. Jones is currently serving as chair elect of the Mentoring Committee. She also serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the DNP project committee. Dr. Jones is an active member of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, currently serving on the program committee.
Professional Organizations
Dr. Jones is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. Dr. Jones serves on the Graduate Education Committee, Continuing Education Committee, and was on the planning committee for the 2022 Fall NACNS conference.

Outside the classroom, Dr. Jones contributes to both nursing knowledge and nursing associations. She has presented on subjects related to primary care, nursing education, and service-learning projects.

Community
Finally, Dr. Jones is involved in her local community. Aside from spending time with her daughter, she is an active member of Real Life Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas, serving in the Reach Center Ministries and the Kids Rally Team. Jennifer is passionate about helping improve the lives of children locally and is a member of the Junior Auxiliary of Mountain Home and is the PTO coordinator for 7th grade.
Dr. Jones is also involved in missions. She had led multiple mission teams from LHSON to serve in the Rio Grande Valley. She is passionate about helping students to experience missions and shape their future view of nursing.
