Work and Education
Professor Howden specializes in medical surgical nursing and advanced practice nursing in the primary care setting.  She has instructed courses in both the undergraduate and graduate level.  Her expertise is informed by an active clinical practice at the Agape Clinic Dallas as well as her background in intensive care nursing. 

Committees
Professor Howden is an active member of the academic policies committee.

Articles and Presentations
Professor Howden is committed to the improving primary prevention of the chronic complications of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.  She recently presented the proposal for her doctoral quality improvement project titled “Improving Primary Prevention of ASCVD in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus” at the University of Texas at Arlington.  

Community
Professor Howden is involved in the community through her volunteer work as a nurse practitioner as the Agape Clinic Dallas.  She additionally attends The Village Church North Dallas.
