Dominic Edwards
Dominic Edwards is an attorney at Jones Day in Washington, D.C. He represents financial institutions in complex commercial litigation and investigations involving the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Treasury, Congress, and various administrative agencies. Mr. Edwards also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on veterans and religious liberty matters. Prior to joining Jones Day, he served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Jerome A. Holmes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and to Judge David G. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
Mr. Edwards earned his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University (BBA ‘15) and his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center (JD ‘21). During his time at Baylor, Mr. Edwards committed himself to campus service; he served as Student Body President, Student Body Internal Vice President, and a member of a number of All-University Committees, including the Honor Council and the Committee on Student Life. Mr. Edwards also met his wife and fourth-generation Baylor Bear, Lawren Kinghorn Edwards (BBA ‘16) at Baylor. Immediately following graduation, Mr. Edwards served as special assistant to former Baylor University President and Chancellor, Judge Ken Starr.
The Edwardses are active members of the Louise Herrington School of Nursing community, having served as members of the Board of Advocates since 2020 and previous members of the Going for the Gold Gala. Mr. Edwards is related to a host of nurses, including his late maternal grandmother, Helen Faye Davis. In honor of Mrs. Davis, the Edwardses have established an endowed scholarship in nursing.
