Work and Education
Dr. Diaz Clark is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Louise Herrington School of Nursing at Baylor University. He also serves as a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care Family Practice. Dr. Clark brings a wealth of experience in various areas of nursing, including psychiatric, post-surgical, and step-down nursing. He has been an integral member of the direct patient care and leadership teams at Grady Memorial Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where he specialized in emergency nursing.
Dr. Clark's research and practice areas are focused on Diabetes Self-Management Education and support in rural areas. He strongly emphasizes the importance of Diabetes-Related Distress Awareness, developing strategies for effective self-management, and creating awareness programs to reduce diabetes-related distress in rural communities.

Dr. Clark is a dedicated member of numerous professional organizations, which includes Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Georgia Nurses Association (GNA), Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity (APO), The United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia (UAPRN), Nursing's Future Leaders (NFL) Chapter of GNA, the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), and the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD), he contributes to various committees, participates in research and development activities, and advocates for nursing professionals.
