Work and Education
Dr. Christine Oliver is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Distance Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (DABSN) Coordinator at Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Specializing in the operating room, her teaching responsibilities include a Perioperative Nursing course and clinical instruction at the Undergraduate level. Her nursing expertise is informed by many years of professional experience working in both hospital and outpatient surgical facilities.
Awards and Presentations
Dr. Oliver was a Daisy Award Nominee at the Louise Herrington School of Nursing in 2020. Dr Oliver has had six presentations at the international, national, and local levels during the past two years including topics regarding student civility, interactive learning environment, and increasing perioperative outpatient nurses' knowledge.
Committees
Dr. Oliver serves as a Chair for the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, a member of the Academic Policies Committee, Program Effectiveness Committee, and the Educational Technology Committee. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau and National League of Nurses.
Community
She is very involved in her local community and school district. Dr. Oliver is Chair of the Health Science Program Committee and a member of the Career and Technology Advisory Board for Royce City ISD. Aside from spending time with her husband and three children, she volunteers with football, baseball, and cheerleading activities at her local school district. She attends Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall.
