Research
Dr. Brady Franklin is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Her interdisciplinary research spans childhood adversity, trauma-informed care, nursing ethics, and workforce wellbeing.
Current areas of inquiry include:
- Child maltreatment and emotional maltreatment
- Positive childhood experiences (PCEs)
- Resilience, virtues, and psychological wellbeing in the nursing workforce
Teaching
Dr. Franklin joined the nursing faculty at LHSON in 2020 and has taught a variety of courses including Introduction to Professional Nursing Practice and The Childrearing Family.
Certifications
- Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center

Community and Service
Dr. Franklin serves on the LHSON Research and Scholarship committee and also serves as the Counselor for the Eta Gamma chapter of Sigma. Finally, Dr. Franklin is involved in her local community by serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and serving in her local church. She is an active member of the International Association for Human Caring, The Society of Rogerian Scholars, and the Texas Nurses Association.
