Background 
Dr. Ashley Camp is a passionate nurse practitioner and educator dedicated to advancing nursing practice. Combining her love for education and patient care, she has established a distinguished career in both clinical practice and academia. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Camp now calls The Woodlands, TX home.

Dr. Camp earned a dual role (AGACNP/FNP) MSN and DNP from the University of South Alabama. After completion of the DNP program, she was asked to return to the university to serve as faculty.  This new opportunity aligned with Dr. Camp’s passion to teach and serve the profession as a professor to nursing students. 

Clinical Experience 
Dr. Camp has extensive clinical experience with a primary focus on critical care and cardiovascular medicine. Her career began in 2010 in a medical/surgical unit and has grown to encompass a wide spectrum of cardiac care. Dr. Camp has worked in the intensive care unit, cardiac catheterization lab, and advanced heart failure unit. 

Teaching Experience 
Dr. Camp is a dedicated educator who started teaching since 2019 and has experience in a variety of courses across the acute care track and core classes. Dr. Camp has been recognized for her contributions to nursing education by developing and revising curriculum for acute care courses. Her passion for teaching inspires students to reach their full potential.

Community Involvement 
Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Camp is committed to serving her community. She is actively involved in faith-based initiatives and supports various organizations, including the local food bank, HeartCry Missionary, and Texas Values Initiative. Dr. Camp finds fulfillment in sharing her faith and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
