Work and Clinical Experience
Dr. Calverley is a Certified Clinical Nurse Educator with years of nursing experience across diverse practice settings, including the intensive care unit (ICU), women’s health, newborn admission, and community health nursing. These clinical experiences inform her teaching and allow her to integrate real-world application into undergraduate nursing education.

Her doctoral research focused on resiliency in the clinical setting, with an emphasis on supporting students in high-stress environments. Her research interests include Stop the Bleed education and mass casualty preparedness. In 2025, she was awarded the Dean’s Grant for Stop the Bleed, which provided the School of Nursing with the supplies necessary to successfully implement this program within the population health clinical.
