Work Overview 
Dr. Archer is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing, where she teaches pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical nursing courses. She also serves on university and nursing program committees. Prior to joining Baylor University, Dr. Archer was a tenured Associate Professor at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Her clinical experience includes practice as a Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner, an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and a Registered Nurse at Genesis Medical Center. She also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois, reflecting her longstanding commitment to excellence in nursing practice and education.

Articles and Presentations 
Dr. Archer's scholarship and professional presentations center on nursing education, with a particular focus on Certified Nurse Educator (CNE^Ò) certification and resilience. Her work highlights the importance of CNE^Ò certification in promoting teaching excellence, faculty development, and evidence-based educational practices. She also explores strategies to foster resilience among nurse educators and nursing students, recognizing its vital role in educator well-being, student success, and workforce sustainability. Through regional and national presentations, Dr. Archer advocates innovative approaches that strengthen nursing education and support excellence in preparing future nurses.

Professional Organizations 
Dr. Archer is engaged in several professional organizations that support excellence in nursing education and practice. She serves as LHSON's ambassador to the National League for Nursing (NLN). In this role, she promotes faculty engagement and advances the NLN's mission of excellence in nursing education. Dr. Archer is also a member of the Texas Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Eta Gamma Chapter. 

Community 
Dr. Archer values community engagement and enjoys serving through volunteerism and leadership. Most recently, she served on the Executive Board for the American Heart Association's Tarrant County Heart Ball 2026, supporting initiatives that advance cardiovascular health, research, and community education. Since relocating to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Dr. Archer has also volunteered at her children's schools and become actively involved in her new community. Previously, in her home state of Iowa, she served in various volunteer leadership roles, including as a Board Member for Ridgecrest Retirement Village and Nursing Home and through St. Lucy's Circle Meal Ministries at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Her additional service has included volunteering at community flu clinics, the Bix Medical Tent, and Kids for Christ.
