Alison Malone

Alison Malone has been in marketing and advertising for over 30 years. Currently, she is a Director for First Texoma National Bank in Durant, Oklahoma, where she overseas their marketing department. Alison spent 15 years in the agency business working for The Richards Group, Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, GSD&M, and in-house at Shell Oil Company as their head of Corporate Identity. When Alison and her husband, Mike, started a family together, she retired from the busy agency world and taught account management at SMU for a few years.
Alison graduated with honor from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. After working for a year in Houston, she went to business school at The University of Texas in Austin, where she graduated with honor with an MBA in Marketing and Management.
Alison comes from a long line of Baylor graduates. Her grandparents met at Baylor, and her grandfather served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Baylor. Her parents also met at Baylor, as did several of her aunts, uncles and cousins. Alison grew up in Houston, but spent many summers and holidays with family in Waco. She and her husband have lived in Dallas for over 20 years.
Alison has spent all of her adult life devoted to charity. She was on the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Dallas as Communications Vice-President. She also served on the Junior League Leadership Council for five years. She has served on the board of directors of Community Partners of Dallas, the Dallas Children’s Theater Alliance, the Genesis Women’s Shelter Alliance, and The Child & Family Guidance Center. Currently, Alison is most active in Crystal Charity Ball and Children’s Cancer Fund, where she serves on the Advisory Board. Alison and Mike lost their seven year old son, Michael, to Stage IV Neuroblastoma in 2012, and they devote much of their time to pediatric cancer organizations, both locally and nationally.
Alison and Mike also have a daughter, Emory, who is an avid athlete and takes her family out of town most weekends for her travel soccer league. She is in the 7th grade at Highland Park Middle School. Alison also has three stepchildren with Mike who she adores, and two beautiful granddaughters. Their family spends as much time as possible at their lake house in Lake Kiowa, Texas. And they enjoy cooking, traveling and being together whenever possible.
