Work Overview
Dr. Chamblee is an experienced healthcare executive and advanced practice registered nurse with expertise in health system quality and safety, research, evidence-based practice, and innovation. Her work in these areas has impacted pediatric healthcare and outcomes. Dr. Chamblee is a nationally recognized expert in healthcare quality and safety and has served in various leadership roles including Director of an AHRQ-certified Patient Safety Organization. Additionally, she is an experienced clinician in pediatric critical care and has 15 years’ experience teaching in both undergraduate and graduate level programs via lecture and/or clinical settings. Her research interest areas include pediatrics, pediatric critical care, clinical nurse specialist practice, research and evidence-based practice, leadership, and health policy.

Prior to joining LHSON, Dr. Chamblee served on a variety of nursing school committees including Undergraduate and Graduate Curriculum, Bylaws, and Program Evaluation.
Articles and Publications
Dr. Chamblee authored/co-authored more than 20 publications with 200 citations. Recent published works include: Clinical Nurse Specialist: A Critical Member of the ICU Team published in AACN’s Advanced Critical Care, Reducing Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection in Contaminated Central Venous Catheters published in the Journal of Vascular Access, and Child Health Policy, a chapter in Health Policy and Advanced Practice Nursing: Impact and Implications, 3rd Ed. In addition, Dr. Chamblee has presented to regional, state, and national audiences. Most recently, presented, Cultivating a Culture of Safety Through Professional Analysis at the 2023 Alliance for Quality and Patient Safety Annual Summit.
Community
Dr. Chamblee has been married to her husband, Mike, for 37 years. They are parents of four young adult/adult children. In her community, she volunteers her time on various projects such as assisting neighbors with setting up and maintaining a community garden, assisting with food drives to support the Community Food Bank of Fort Worth, and local mission work.
