Work and Education
Sarah Nigliazzo has been in nursing education since 2007. She started as an adjunct faculty with Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing in 2022 before becoming full time faculty in 2024. She maintains a clinical practice in the Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery Department at Cook Children's Medical Center.
Committees
In the past, she has served on a variety of nursing school and hospital committees. Her committees at Cook Children’s Medical Center are the DNP-PhD Collaboration Committee, APP Doctoral Committee, and APP Mentor Committee. Her committee involvement for Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing is to be determined.
Policy Change
Her area of interest is improving access to care for children in Texas. For her DNP project she changed Texas Medicaid to allow advanced practice providers in Texas to order audiology evaluations and hearing aids for pediatric patients.
Community
She lives in Aledo with her husband, three children, and two dogs. In her community she is an active member of the National Charity League. She attends Christ Chapel Bible Church.
