Work and Education
Dr. Bartlett has taught nursing at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing since 2019. Dr. Bartlett has had a very diverse nursing background including, Cardiac Care, hospice, labor and delivery, and nursing leadership. Professor Bartlett holds two nursing certifications, RNC-OB (inpatient obstetrics) and NEA-BC (Nurse Executive Advanced – Board Certified).
Committees
In the past, Dr. Bartlett has served on multiple hospital committees including, Shared Governance Manager Mentor, Bereavement Coordinator, Quality Improvement, Nurse Staffing, Peer Review, and served as a nurse surveyor for the State of Texas Maternal Level of Care Designation. Dr. Bartlett currently serves on the Professional Practice Committee as well as the Policy Committee for LHSON.
Community
Finally, Katy Bartlett is involved in her local community. Aside from spending time with her husband, daughter, and two sons, she has volunteered for Feed the Need. Feed the Need serves underprivileged children in her community by providing and delivering lunches while school is not in session. She is also a volunteer in the Melissa Community Outreach program and is a proud parent volunteer for Melissa ISD focusing her time volunteering with the Mighty Cardinal Marching Band.
