Judy Maggard

Judy Maggard began her Baylor career in the fall of 1980 as assistant to the vice president for development. In 1998 she assumed the role of director of the Baylor Parents League serving in that capacity until her retirement in 2016. She is a proud Alumni by Choice (1999).
Judy was a founding member of the Big XII Parent and Family Program Annual Conference which promotes the exchange of information and ideas among participating schools. She is also a member of the Association in Higher Education for Parent Programming Professionals (AHEPPP) where she presented programs at national conferences. She has held several offices and served on multiple committees for Baylor Round Table including office of president. She is a member of both the Dallas and Waco Baylor University Women’s Councils, 1845 Society, Baylor Bear Foundation and Old Main Society. She has also served on the La Vega Education Foundation Board for the La Vega Independent School District.
Judy was recognized with an outstanding staff award from Baylor University in 2010 and recipient of the Norman ‘Moon’ Mullins award presented by the Baylor Bear Foundation in support of education of student athletes in 2012. Baylor University honored her with the establishment of the Judy Maggard Endowed Scholarship Fund on the occasion of her retirement in 2016.
Judy married Kenneth, her high school sweetheart in 1967. They are the parents of two sons both of whom graduated from Baylor University and married their Baylor sweethearts. Scott (’91) and Lauren (’00) are parents to Aaron and John; Chris (’97) and Keri (’98) are parents to Seth and Peyton. Spending time with family and friends is a joy and blessing. She enjoys reading, travel and keeping in touch with childhood friends.
