Dr. Adrianne Duvall, DNP, APRN, CNEcl, FNP-BC

Dr. Adrianne Duvall is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. After working in private school finance for several years, Dr. Duvall graduated from the FastBacc program at LHSON in 2012 with her BSN. She worked as an operating room nurse before completing her DNP/FNP at Baylor in 2017. Dr. Duvall has a passion for the underserved, and currently sees patients weekly at a medically-underserved clinic in Dallas, Texas.

Prior to joining the full-time Baylor faculty in 2020, Dr. Duvall worked in education technology specializing in NCLEX preparation and item writing while also working as part-time lecturer at LHSON. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, National League for Nursing, Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Texas Nurse Practitioners.
Dr. Duvall is currently serving on the Undergraduate Academic Policies and Graduate Studies committees. She previously served on the LHSON BSN Advisory Committee.
Dr. Duvall most recently assisted with research focused on the use of virtual reality simulation in the acquisition of student fire safety skills. Her other research interests include antibiotic stewardship, clinical judgment in new graduate nurses, and safe transition to clinical practice.
Dr. Duvall is a lifelong Dallas resident. She is an active member of the Church of the Incarnation and enjoys playing piano for the contemporary services. She is very involved in several medical ministries, including assisting with the Community Health Fair providing sports physicals each fall and also serving as the Medical Team Coordinator for an annual mission trip to Honduras.
