Work and Education 
Dr. Dora Bradley currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the DNP Executive Nurse Leadership Track for Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Previously, she served as the Chief Clinical & Patient Learning Officer (CCPLO) for Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, Texas and was Vice President for Nursing Professional Development for Baylor Scott & White-North and Baylor Health Care System. Her distinguished career is extensive and includes more than 35 years working in healthcare. Some of the other impressive leadership roles she has held include: Director, Center for Nursing Education and Research, Baylor University Medical Center; Director of Professional Practice, Shawnee Mission Medical Center; Assistant Professor Medical University of South Carolina, College of Nursing; and Director of Staff Support, Medical University of South Carolina, Medical Center. Throughout her career, Dr. Bradley has maintain close ties with her academic partners and has had number of joint and adjunct appointments. She has preceptored numerous graduate students and served on DNP project and PhD dissertation committees.  Dr. Bradley’s career also includes many years working as a nurse in a variety of clinical nursing roles at facilities including: Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma; Norman Regional Hospital, Midwest City Memorial Hospital and Creek Nation Indian Hospital.

Dr. Bradley received her PhD in Nursing Science from University of South Carolina, her MS in Nursing/Education & Peds from University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and her Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma Baptist University. She has been Board Certified in Nursing Professional Development (RN-BC) since 2005.

Professional Activities 
Dr. Bradley is a nationally recognized leader in professional development of nurses.  She has written and presented extensively on competency validation, program evaluation, educational outcomes, leadership, professional practice models as well as learning innovations.  She maintains active memberships in a number of professional organizations.  Dr.  Bradley is a Fellow in American Academy of Nursing.  She is also a member of the American Nurses Association, Texas State Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International.  A recipient of the Belinda Peutz award for excellence in Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Dr. Bradley was awarded a life-time membership in Association of Nurses in Professional Development (ANPD formerly NNSDO) in recognition of her leadership and practice excellence in the NPD specialty. She chaired the ANA/NNSDO national taskforce that revised the 2010 NPD Scope and Standards and led the group to develop a model of nursing professional development practice which was a first for the specialty.  She has served on and chaired the NPD Content Expert Panel for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also on the Editorial Board for the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development.  While at Baylor Health Care System Dr. Bradley was the PI of a 6.4 million dollar grant to create a virtual center for learning and innovation around the care of geriatric patients. The result was development of a globally available learning platform that has been used by healthcare professionals in 22 countries. Regionally and locally her professional activities are equally expansive.
