Brandi Rowen, MSN, RN
Simulation Educator
Brandi Rowen grew up in Lindale, Texas. She has been dedicated to furthering her education in health care since 2007. Her impact on nursing care and knowledge development is aided by her personal philosophy of nursing. She is dedicated to equipping future nurses with the knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities necessary to integrate health promotion and disease prevention in an innovative society. She also provides an environment where future nurses strive for excellence, engage in career and personal development, maximize their learning potential, and gain a sense of Christian community.
Work/Education
Professor Rowen has an extensive background in health care. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2007, obtained an Emergency Medical Technician – Basic certification in 2010, completed her BSN in 2016, and her MSN-Education in 2023. She received her BSN and MSN from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Professor Rowen specialized in her practice as an Ortho/Trauma RN, Pediatric/Adult RN in the Operating Room (Ortho & Robots), and an RN in the Ortho/Spine clinic. She started off as Adjunct Faculty at Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing in August 2023. In the Spring of 2024, she accepted a full-time position as a Simulation Educator. She teaches Undergraduate Level 1 students in the Health Assessment Lab. She facilitates Level 3 Pediatric Clinical Orientation and Pediatric Simulations. She also coordinates and helps facilitate the Acute and Primary PNP (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) Graduate Immersions.

Professor Rowen has participated in many professional organizations: Sigma Theta Tau (International Honor Society of Nursing); Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF); American Nurses Association (ANA); Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN); American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN); National League for Nursing (NLN).

Professor Rowen is highly regarded in the health care field as well as in her community for having a servant’s heart and caring commitment.
Community & Family
Professor Rowen is also revered for giving back to the local community along with having an immense dedication to her family. She volunteers in a local food bank, where she helps supply low-income children with lunches for school. She loves spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter, reading, and scuba diving.
